CJ Publications
The George J. Beto Criminal Justice Center supports the publication of several journals, periodicals, and reports read by interested parties all over the world, including academicians, professionals, public officials, students, and amateurs whose interests in criminal justice range from psychology and sociology to law enforcement, corrections, and education.
- Applied Psychology in Criminal Justice (APCJ) is an international, interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed academic journal that examines the intersection of psychology and criminal justice. APCJ is available in both print and electronic journal formats.
- The Criminal Justice Mandate serves as both the alumni magazine for the SHSU College of Criminal Justice and the official news bulletin for the CJ Center. The Mandate is published twice a year, bringing current updates on our alumni and news about developments in our many training and research programs to friends of the College and the CJ Center.
- Faculty Research Notes: A bi-annual report of faculty activities, research, and publications.
- Office of International Criminal Justice (OICJ), a leading publisher of criminal justice related materials since 1984, is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to improving the administration of criminal justice through international cooperation, research, and training opportunities resulting in communication and collaboration among academics and practitioners throughout the world.
OICJ has published over 250 issues of widely-recognized periodicals, notably their flagship publication, Crime and Justice International (CJI) Magazine, a full-color print magazine that covers the latest worldwide news and trends in international crime and justice. Each issue of CJI Magazine offers informative and entertaining reading for criminal justice professionals on every level, from criminologists and criminal justice professors to patrol officers and prison guards.
OICJ has also published over 64 books and monographs covering topics such as Community Policing, Comparative Criminal Justice, Drugs, Organized Crime, Terrorism, and much more. The OICJ online bookstore has a variety of resources that offer a global perspective on contemporary and historical criminal justice news and trends. - The Texas Law Enforcement Management and Administrative Statistics Program Bulletin (TELEMASP) is a monthly publication designed to distribute information about comparative administrative practices of Texas law enforcement agencies throughout the state.
