Computer-Assisted Dispatch

The Computer-Assisted Dispatch (CAD) Module provides a computerized format for comprehensive management of the communications functions for Police, Fire, and EMS units.

Features include the following:

  • Interface with existing 911 systems including transfer of call address;
  • Track on-duty unit assignments;
  • Manage multiple active and pending calls;
  • Use special entry screens dedicated specifically to traffic-stop information;
  • Provide automatic alarm when units are out-of-service on a call over a specified period;
  • Use enhanced history and information retrieval;
  • Interface with CRIMES Local Warrant Module;
  • Provide geo-code information and warning notices for hazardous dispatched locations;
  • Mobile interface for call dispatch, status, and TLETS checks;
  • Automated TLETS checks;
  • Manage all public safety functions: Police, Fire, and EMS, with specially designed components for each; and
  • Transfer of already recorded information to offense reports where appropriate.
