With the lifting of the Iron Curtain, Eastern Europe has not been the same. It has undergone rapid, tumultuous changes, and nowhere is that more evident and profound than in Poland. It was the invasion of this country that launched the Second World War. Launch your understanding of the new Eastern Europe through this visit to Poland, and see this part of the world assimiilate into a new world order as it takes its steps into the 21st century.

There will be lectures, held at various locations, on the history of the legal system in Poland; the criminal justice system in Poland; police organization and management; police training; the courts; correctional system; crime in Poland; community policing; human rights issues; victimology; scientific approaches to criminal investigation.
