Biography:

Monique joined the Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas (LEMIT) August 1, 2016. She is the Program Coordinator over The Leadership Command College (LCC). It is the most comprehensive program offered by the Bill Blackwood Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas (LEMIT). LCC is designed to provide law enforcement executives with the knowledge and skills necessary for the successful leadership in modern law enforcement agency. The program consists of three 15-day instructional modules, selected reading assignments and a comprehensive Leadership White Paper (LWP).

In July 2010 she joined the staff of the Correctional Management Institute of Texas (CMIT) as a Program Specialist. Monique was responsible for overseeing the Resource Training Officers, Juvenile Probation and Supervision Officer Basic Training, National Jail Leadership Command Academy, and Texas Association for Court Administration (TACA) as their Secretariat.

Prior to going to work at CMIT, Monique was an Administrative Associate for University of Texas Medical Branch - Correctional Managed Care (UTMB-CMC). During her 8 years of service with UTMB-CMC she was assigned to the following prisons, Hamilton Unit, Wynne Unit, Byrd Unit, Goree Unit and Huntsville Unit. Monique also worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in various positions for 6 years.

Monique obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice in 1999 from Sam Houston State University.
