Aging & Crime


After positions as a clinical social worker in community mental health and a corporate training director, Dr. Victoria Titterington joined the College in 1995. Her current research focuses upon the intersection of aging and crime, as well as lethal family violence. Research projects include examining right-to-die legislation, eldercide, and intimate partner homicide. She has been a visiting scholar for the Max Planck Institute for Foreign & International Criminal Law in Freiburg, German, and an instructor for the International Law Enforcement Academy in Roswell, N.M. She has also served as a consultant with the Harris County Community Supervision and Corrections Program and the National Institute of Justice, as well as federally-funded Project Safe Neighborhoods and Public Housing Safety Initiatives for the greater Houston area.
