Ian Lovestock

Biography:

Professor Lovestock is a retired Deputy Chief of the Bexar County (San Antonio) Sheriff's Office. Assignments as a division director included the Training Academy, Court Security, Patrol and Traffic, Civil, and Intergovernmental Relations. 38 years experience in public-policing; including being a former director of the Alamo Area Regional Law Enforcement Training Academy and Regional Crime Prevention Specialist. I am certified in Texas and Florida as a crime prevention specialist and with the state of Florida as an Elder Crimes specialist. Professor Lovestock is a graduate of the LCC program of LEMIT and graduate of the Management College of the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration. He holds an MS in Criminal Justice Leadership and Management from SHSU and a M.Ed. in the Management of Technical Education from Texas State University. Lovestock is a TCOLE Master Peace Officer and holds an Advanced Instructor proficient certificate from TCOLE and a Certified Training Professional designation from Texas A&M University. He presently volunteers as a reserve deputy constable in Bexar County and is a volunteer mediator with the Bexar County Dispute Resolution Center.
