Thomas Wood started the MA program in Criminal Justice and Criminology in the Fall of 2014. He holds degrees from Florida State University, Stetson University and Vanderbilt University and retired from the Psychology department at SHSU where he was professor and director of the graduate program in School Psychology. Tom worked for forty years in all types of educational and mental health settings and has extensive experience with juveniles. After retirement, he taught graduate research courses on-line for Ball State University in Indiana. Currently Tom is an adjunct psychology professor at the Lee College-Huntsville Center and has taught psychology in six different prison units. This experience has peaked his interest in Criminal Justice, specifically in the impact of post secondary education and religion on recidivism. In his spare time he likes to travel and collect classic cars.
