Dr. Bluth has worked in case management with both the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and CASA Child Advocates. During her career she provided intensive case management to children and families identified by community mental health crisis units and investigated reports of abuse and neglect to children. As a community education specialist she provided crisis intervention and advocacy to child victims of sexual assault, providing court assessments of home and social environment. Her primary research agenda are directed at the use of a feminist theoretical framework and application of the stages of change model to inform sexual violence prevention and program evaluation. Her research goals include the use of a stage based intervention program to reduce not only victimization but address re-victimization risk behaviors for sexual assault and intimate partner violence.
