Masters Program Admission

General Requirements

  • Completion of an undergraduate degree in a related field
  • Graduate Studies Application for Admission
  • GRE scores (within the last 5 years)
  • Official copies of all undergraduate and graduate transcripts
  • Three letters of recommendation from academic sources (professors, deans, etc.)
  • Current TOEFL scores for international students: 213 computer-based or 550 paper-based is required
  • A typed double-spaced personal essay, less than 1,000 words, written in narrative form

Some programs may have additional admission requirements. Please contact Doris Pratt (Graduate Admissions Coordinator) to check on the specific program to which you want to apply.

Deadlines:

Applications for the Fall semester are due by February 1 of the same year.
Applications for the Spring semester are due by September 1 of the preceding year.
Master of Science in Forensic Science has a December 31st deadline.

A $20.00 application fee is required. Your application will not be considered without the application fee in the form of a check from a U.S. bank, money order, or traveler's check in U.S. dollars. Application fees are nonrefundable. Print your full name, date of birth, and the department to which you are applying on the payment. Do not send cash.
