Masters Programs: Advising

The College of Criminal Justice offers one on one advising to all graduate students. The Graduate Programs Office is open Monday thru Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is located in the Criminal Justice Center Room A212. Graduate students may contact Doris Pratt (Graduate Admissions Coordinator) at 936-294-3637 or at ICC_DCP@shsu.edu. The Graduate Admissions Coordinator and the Assistant Dean for Graduate Studies will conduct all academic advisement for students. All special reading courses, special projects, internships, and practicums must be approved by the Assistant Dean for Graduate Studies. Students will take courses that provide an in-depth knowledge in the areas of research and statistics, criminological theory, criminal justice administration and legal issues in criminal justice.
