The Master of Arts degree prepares graduate students to conduct research and actively development of knowledge in the areas of criminological theory and criminal justice issues. Students are able to work closely with research active faculty who were collectively ranked 4th highest in the nation among all institutions with a Ph.D. program in Criminology and/or Criminal Justice. Current faculty research projects are supported by the U.S. Department of Justice grants as well as state and local funding mechanisms.
